About Us

Caviar & Bananas is a concept conceived of by husband and wife team Margaret and Kris Furniss. Self-proclaimed 'foodies' they met while working together at a high-end restaurant in New York City. She, a College of Charleston alumni and he, a New York native, they share a love for all things culinary.

Upon completing her Masters, Margaret spent several years working in marketing and advertising creating brands and launching products for the mass market. Kris started his career in the financial world but found himself picking up Gourmet Magazine as opposed to the Wall Street Journal. He soon decided to change gears and pursued a career in the food industry managing several upscale restaurants and eventually high-end food retail.

Once they tired of corporate America, the two decided to go to work for a new employer - themselves. It wasn't long before they left the big city for the warm weather and beauty of the low country to create Caviar & Bananas.
