Husband-and-wife duo Margaret and Kris Furniss bring a shared love for the charm and unique culinary offerings of a boutique New York City-style market to their two Caviar & Bananas locations in Charleston, SC. The pair met 10 years ago while working together at a high-end restaurant in New York City. Kris had recently left a financial career at Morgan Stanley to pursue his passion for the food industry when he met Margaret, a communications and branding professional who shared his love for the big city's culinary culture. Embracing their mutual epicurean interests, Margaret and Kris left New York City for the warm weather and natural beauty in Charleston, SC. The pair envisioned a Lowcountry twist on a big-city gourmet market, and the idea for Caviar & Bananas was born.
